Charming hotel with beautiful Mexican style architecture. The room was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable bed. The small heated pool was a delightful surprise, especially in winter. The location was fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from the main square and pedestrianized areas filled with shops and restaurants. Wi-Fi was reliable, an added bonus for staying connected. The staff were attentive. I appreciated how the owner, Sra. Flor, personally engaged with us and provided tips for exploring the area. However, the noise from the pool echoed through the night, making it hard to rest. A few guests were quite loud until late, and management didn’t address this when we raised our concerns. Additionally, we experienced an issue with the bathroom. it could use some updates for better functionality. Water temperature varied too much in the shower. Despite these issues, the overall atmosphere of the hotel makes me want to return.

Charming and Clean with Great Service

I stayed for 5 nights and absolutely loved the unique Mexican style architecture of the hotel and its meticulously clean rooms. The courtyard was a perfect spot for breakfast, and I really appreciated the effort the owners put into creating a welcoming atmosphere. One thing I wish was different is that the breakfast had been closed on Mother's Day without prior notice, which was a minor inconvenience during my stay.

i stayed at la casa de mama for 4 nights after a previous visit to san cristóbal de las casas, and it truly exceeded my expectations. the beautiful gardens and the heated pool added a delightful touch, and my son loved playing there. the welcoming atmosphere and helpful staff made it a memorable experience.
